National Press Officers
Lin Bingham is a writer, graphic designer, and screen printer living in Albany, NY. His primary goal has been to speak out for animal, human, and earth liberation, but more importantly, to point out that all of these movements are in fact the same struggle against the same enemy.

If asked to describe his talents in one phrase he would likely respond "propaganda and agitation."

Lin is available to speak on animal liberation topics at seminars, conferences and anywhere else where one or more people are willing to listen and interact. You can reach him at lin@animalliberationpressoffice.org

Rick Bogle taught in a public elementary school for eight years after serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia, West Africa. After learning details of experiments occurring in U.S. laboratories, he gave up his teaching career in 1997 and began working full time to call attention to the government-sponsored abuse of animals.

Rick is knowledgeable on all issues surrounding the use of animals in science, but is particularly well-informed about the use of monkeys. Rick says, “Science has shown repeatedly and convincingly that other animals have minds and emotions so like our own that their joy and suffering is essentially indistinguishable from our own joy and suffering. People are waking up to the implications of this fact; a revolution has begun.

Jason Miller, senior editor and founder of Thomas Paines Corner, is a tenacious, forty-something vegan straight-edge activist who lives in Kansas and who has a boundless passion for animal liberation and anti-capitalism. Addicted to reading and learning, he is mostly an autodidact, but he studied liberal arts and philosophy at the
University of Missouri Kansas City.

In early 2005, he founded the radical blog Thomas Paine’s Corner. An accomplished, prolific essayist on social and political issues, his writings have appeared on hundreds of alternative media websites over the last few years. You can reach him at jason@animalliberationpressoffice.org

Nicoal Sheen graduated from CSU Long Beach with her B.A. in Comparative Political Science and specializes in sociopolitical revolution. As both an academic and activist, she recognizes all oppression as interlocking mechanisms used to silence other beings considered "less than" and fights to end these systemic inequalities. Nicoal co-founded Band of Mercy Los Angeles, a grassroots animal rights collective, with her partner Greg Kelly in December 2009 which embraces abolitionism and rejects all manifestations of speciesism.

Nicoal is a militant voice for animals out on the streets and will continue to speak for the silenced until total liberation is achieved for our non-human brothers and sisters. You can reach her at nicoal@animalliberationpressoffice.org

Jerry Vlasak, MD is a board-certified surgeon specializing in trauma and critical care. He is a former vivisector who has seen the agony of animals in laboratories. He debates the scientific invalidity of animal experimentation around the world, speaks out about the benefits of a vegan diet and offers lectures on the right of all
sentient beings to live free of pain and suffering.

His essays and interviews have been published in numerous journals and magazines and he has been interviewed on radio, TV and in print by journalists worldwide regarding animal rights. He resides in Los Angeles.

You can reach him at press@animalliberationpressoffice.org

"Who's Afraid of Jerry Vlasak"

Gary Yourofsky , Gary Yourofsky's powerful and enlightening message about the true meaning of animal rights has been heard by more than 50,000 students in 160 middle schools, high schools and universities across the nation. Gary uses thought-provoking prose, inspiring stories, indisputable facts, quotes from Pythagoras, W. R. Inge, and other great thinkers, plus graphic footage from slaughterhouses (land and sea), to ask people to be kind to animals and, ultimately, go vegan.

Gary can be reached at garytofu@earthlink.net, and his website is at http://www.adaptt.org/index.html.

Advisors and Speakers
Steven Best, Ph.D. is an award-winning writer, noted speaker, public intellectual, and seasoned activist who engages the issues of the day such as animal rights, ecological crisis, biotechnology, liberation politics, terrorism, mass media, globalization, and capitalist domination. Best has published 10 books, over 100 articles and reviews, spoken in over a dozen countries, interviewed with media throughout the world, appeared in numerous documentaries, and was voted by VegNews as one of the nations “25 Most Fascinating Vegetarians.” He has come under fire for his uncompromising advocacy of “total liberation” (humans, animals, and the earth) and has been banned from the UK for the power of his thoughts. From the US to Norway, from Sweden to France, from Germany to South Africa, Best shows what philosophy means in a world in crisis.
Peter Young, along with many others, has given himself to the defense of innocent life. "Animal rights extremists" or "freedom fighters". Call those in this abolitionist struggle what you will. History will absolve us...

Peter was indicted by a federal grand jury in 1998 on charges related to fur farm raids in Iowa, South Dakota, and Wisconsin in 1997. He was in hiding for seven years, before being arrested in San Jose and sentenced to two years' imprisonment in 2005, and was released in February 2007.

Erin Skinner, Ph.D. completed her PhD in Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo and currently works as a lecturer and academic advisor. As a former vivisector, she has first-hand knowledge of the corporate machine that encourages researchers to perform atrocities against non-human animals in the name of an invalid and wasteful science. She now fights for total animal liberation - a world in which no animal is oppressed, exploited, or victimized.

A major focus of Erin's work is to show that the struggle against sexism, racism, classism, and hierarchy is a part of animal liberation. She currently works with the Canadian Animal Liberation Movement, helping to radicalize activists and their fight for freedom.
